Off the back of an impressive 2-0 win over league leaders Swindon Town, the young Glovers travelled to Cirencester to face strong Green Devils outfit.
Forest Green asserted their dominance from the outset and took an early lead through a low driven strike from the edge of the box by Jordan Stevens.
The hosts continued to control proceedings and struck the woodwork twice, before doubling their advantage in the second half.
Despite an improved display after the interval, Town were hit by a quick Rovers counter-attack which resulted in a Stevens volley finding the back of the net.
Yeovil went in search of a way back into the game and pulled one back when Jack Rice-Lethaby smashed home from an acute angle, however it proved to be a mere consolation.
