The 20-year-old became the Glovers’ seventh summer signing, joining on a season-long loan from the top flight outfit.
Davies captained the Welsh side’s under-23s to the Premier League 2 title last term, and also led the young Swans to the Checkatrade Trophy quarter-finals.
His move to Yeovil is the first away from his parent club, and the defender admits he sought advice from team-mates who had previously spent time in Somerset.
“It’s been quite hectic but I’m happy to be here,” Davies told iFollow Glovers.
“I’ve spoken to most of the boys who have come here about what it’s like here and how things work. They all gave positive feedback so it was a no-brainer to come here.”
He continued: “I’ve met the gaffer a few times – he’s always been good.
“He’s all about developing players and giving young players a chance. I think it was always a good decision to come and play here under Darren.”
The self-described ‘mean’ centre-back who enjoys ‘a good challenge’ goes straight into the squad to face Bristol City on Saturday.
The Robins will have club record signing Famara Diedhiou at their disposal for the first time since his £5.3m move from Angers SCO, and Davies is relishing the chance to come up against him.
“I’m looking forward to playing against him,” he said.
“I don’t really know too much about him but the gaffer will let me know a bit later on how to stop him and what he does.”
