The winger returned to action last Friday in the Emirates FA Cup after a long lay-off with an ankle injury before coming off the bench to score against his former employers in a convincing victory.
Ex-Aldershot Town man Browne is now pushing for his first start but says he wants to make an impact for the team in any way he can.
“It was a bit frustrating finding out I’d be out longer than I expected because of my ankle but we got there, we worked hard and I’m back out there,” he told iFollow Glovers.
“The first day or so you beat yourself up but there’s no point. You have to get on with it and work hard to come back.
“I was very pleased to score. It’s the way you want to come back- it was even better it was against my former club! Now I’ve just got to work to get myself back in the team.
“I’ve just got to keep working hard every day; if I start or come off the bench I’ll try and make an impact for the team and win every game.”
Cambridge United are the visitors to Huish Park on Saturday – Town’s fourth game in a row at home.
The U’s are winless in four Sky Bet League Two games but with the Glovers back to winning ways and performing well of late, Browne insists the focus is entirely on their own game.
He said: “We know we’ve got a good group and you can see that in the way we played against Manchester United for 45 minutes and they’re one of the best teams in the world.
“If we can do what we did to them for 45 minutes and do what we did to Grimsby who are higher than us, we’re definitely confident.
“We want to keep the momentum going from Tuesday night as that was a great performance and a good result.
“We’ll focus on our strengths, what we do best. We’re not really worried about the other team, we just need to try and win the game.”
