The Glovers are winless in seven league matches, but have picked up four draws in that sequence.
Fresh from a draw at promotion-chasing Wycombe Wanderers, Nathan Delfouneso’s last-gasp finish denied Town victory against Blackpool and Way believes it is fine margins between his team and three points.
“We’re so close. You can get frustrated but we’re going in the right direction,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.
“I feel the players deserve a little bit more whether it’s a decision or finding the back of the net instead of hitting the crossbar.
“All the games we’ve played so far this year have been good games and I think the team are enjoying the challenge.
“Everyday we keep building and they’re getting mentally stronger.”
League leaders Doncaster Rovers visit Huish Park tomorrow (3pm) – Town’s first home match in the league in 2017.
Yeovil have won eight of their 15 matches in all competitions in Somerset this season and Way hopes to add to the win column against Darren Ferguson’s side.
He said: “Every home game is important and so far we’ve done okay at home. We want to make sure we keep that going.”
Tickets for tomorrow’s game can be purchased at the ticket office, online or by phone on 01935 847888.
