The 37-year-old became Town boss with the Glovers in the Sky Bet League Two relegation zone and guided the club to a 19th-placed finish.
Former Town player Danny Webb was appointed Orient’s manager last month – the London club’s 10th since 2014 – and has seen his team slip into the relegation zone following six-game losing streak.
Way is wary of the threat a wounded Orient outfit may possesses having been in a similar situation and has warned his players to expect a tough encounter.
“They’ve got a new manager who is young and wants to be successful,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.
“I know exactly what it’s like as I took over in the same situation so I feel I know what it takes to drive a football club and I think Danny will be exactly the same.
“There are probably a lot of players in their team who pay mortgages and are fighting for their lives and the football club. We did the same last year.
“I know we’ve got a really difficult game on Saturday and I’ll make sure every single player and staff member is aware of their situation and the threats that they could cause.”
Town welcome back loan trio Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro, Owain Jones and Kabongo Tshimanga into the squad after they were cup-tied for the midweek trip to Luton Town in the Checkatrade Trophy.
It leaves Way with seven available loans to select from with a maximum of five allowed in his matchday squad.
“I always knew that was going to be the case and I think the players respect that,” he said.
“They understand our squad and how we use that system.
“If we end up with one or two loan players getting injured, like Ryan Hedges was, someone else steps in.
“Every training session they’re fighting for a place and I’ll make sure I make the right decisions at the right time.”
