Town take on Carlisle United tomorrow (3pm) for the first of four matches in 17 days.
The Glovers find themselves in a healthy position in Sky Bet League Two, and a win at Brunton Park could see them climb back into the play-offs.
“We’re in a safe place at the moment,” Way told YTFC’s YouTube channel.
“We have to be very careful of complacency over the Christmas period because that will dictate the direction we’re going in.
“We have to remain focused and determined and make sure the players don’t eat any extra potatoes!”
He added: “i think the supporters would’ve gone home (after last week’s defeat to Barnet) thinking we’ve got a good team that can match anyone.
“The players can see I’m very committed to lead them, keep them motivated and not get too disappointed on the back of a defeat and we look forward to Carlisle.”
Tickets for Saturday’s match remain on sale online or by phone on 01935 847888. Fans can purchase tickets on the day but at a £3 increase.
