The Glovers come into Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two match against Grimsby Town at Huish Park having won their last three matches whilst not conceding in their last four fixtures.
Having also picked up the maximum nine points from their last three outings at Huish Park, Town are now lying just a single point outside the play-offs ahead of the weekend’s round of fixtures.
Currently sitting fourth in the League Two form table for the last six games, Way is confident in his squad.
"You’ve just got to look at the position the players are in,” said Way. “If I was a player in that dressing room, knowing what the consequences are, I would want to get in the play-offs.
"They will take that opportunity because they are a group that is very resilient and very strong and they push each other very hard. That’s why we’re in the position we are in.
"We know it’s no fluke. The group are growing stronger together. They are a little more instinctive – certainly the younger players because they know what is expected. And they’re believing.”
With virtually a full squad to choose from pressure for places is at its peak, leaving Way hoping for more of the work ethic demonstrated so far this season.
"What we have got is a real good group of players who know that they have to perform. That can only push upwards. They want to achieve as a group, not just individually.
"It’s important I make sure we keep those dynamics of hard work and sticking together."
