The 24-year-old, who signed from Bolton Wanderers ahead of the 2016/17 season, scored the only goal in the weekend’s 1-0 win at Orient to net his fourth goal of the season in all competitions.
A meaningful presence all game, Way was complimentary about Eaves’ endeavours.
“I thought his performance was the best that I’ve seen. I’ve had to work hard with Tom this week – not just Tom but every individual.
“We Kept it simple with Tom and told him to just to hold it up and be aggressive in the box when the ball comes in. I felt he controlled all he could control when the ball came into him.”
The three points from the Matchroom Stadium ended a run of five games without a win for the Glovers, the result of relentless work according to the Gaffer.
“We’ve not stopped, we’ve worked every day and I feel the players deserve a little bit of a break now and we look forward to the game on Saturday.”
