The U’s have lost their last four matches in Sky Bet League Two, and have scored just once in their previous five fixtures.
With players like the giant frame of Uche Ikpeazu at their disposal, Way believes Shaun Derry’s side may assume a long ball game to match the traits of a lot of teams in the division.
“A lot of League Two games, with the pressure managers and players are under, are direct,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.
“You have to make sure you pick up second balls and get the ball down and play.
“I feel that will be exactly the same with certain players Cambridge have got.
“They need a win just as much as we do. It’ll be a difficult game and I expect every game at this level to be difficult considering the amount of pressure on these games.
“Hopefully we can make sure we get our performance levels to where we look exciting in the final third, the players carry confidence, play with freedom and have a real belief in front of goal.”
