The Lancashire club are unbeaten in their last seven Sky Bet League Two outings, scoring 18 goals in that sequence including five in an impressive win over relegation-threatened Leyton Orient in midweek.
Stanley’s resurgence has seen them climb five places to 16th in the division, but Way feels his side have what it takes to end their run.
He told YTFC’s official YouTube channel: “We’ve got to make sure we prepare right in the next couple of days for an Accrington team that on the back of scoring five goals.
“They’ve been in a rich vein of form, they’ve got some very good players who play between the lines.
“I looked at them against Leyton Orient and they just looked like they were a class above.
“Having said that, I’d like to think we are a bigger and better threat than what they are.
“We’ve got to make sure their exciting players don’t control the game and they’ve got one or two of them.”
Two of Accrington’s talents Way eludes to are strikers Billy Kee and Shay McCartan.
See is Stanley’s top scorer with 13 goals in all competitions to his name, while McCartan has notched four times in his last seven games including a beautiful free kick against Exeter City last weekend.
“I thought McCartan’s goal the other day was unbelievable and Billy Kee is scoring regularly,” Way said.
“I know they’ve had a difficult time there, but I think they’re a humble and honest, hardworking team. It won’t be easy.
“I keep saying no game is easy at this level but every game is winnable.”
