England U16s final match in this season’s Sky Sports Victory Shield, against holders Scotland, will take place at Huish Park, home to Yeovil Town.
The Young Lions begin their campaign with away trips to Wales and Northern Ireland before hosting the Auld Enemy in Somerset.
England’s last Victory Shield match to be played at Yeovil was in 2009 when Nathan Redmond and Tyler Blackett helped their country beat Wales 1-0.
Huish Park hosted an England U18s game against Holland in 2007. Daniel Sturridge was the star of the show, scoring twice in a 4-1 win in front of a crowd of over 8,000.
England played their first schoolboy international at Walsall’s old Fellows Park ground in 1907, beating Wales 3-1. Four years later the first match with Scotland was played at St James’ Park, Newcastle, and ended in a 1-1 draw.
Former U16s internationals include Danny Welbeck, Ross Barkley, Raheem Sterling, Jack Butland and Jonjo Shelvey.
