Yeovil Town are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Mitch Rose.
The versatile Rose has mainly enjoyed spells as a holding midfielder throughout his career, but has also spent time playing at the centre of defence and full-back.
Coming through the ranks at Rotherham United in 2010, this was where Rose first met current Town boss Darren Sarll, who helped our latest addition progress as a scholar.
Our new no.16 has experience in the Football League, having later plied his trade for Mansfield Town, Newport County, Grimsby Town.
A penalty specialist, Rose scored from the spot in April 2018 to confirm Grimsby’s EFL survival against Chesterfield.
More recently, Rose spent two seasons with Notts County, where he helped the Magpies to the National League Promotion Final in the 19/20 season.
The 27-year-old now ventures to Somerset in the hope of going one better with Yeovil Town.
Speaking to ytfc.net after signing, Rose said; “It seems so surreal to me! When I spoke to Darren Sarll earlier in the week, it was seeming like it wasn’t going to happen yet.
“I got the text on Wednesday that he wanted me in to train tomorrow, I don’t think I’ve had time to process it all.
“I can’t wait to get that feeling back again, the nervous energy of preparing for a game, being amongst the lads as a group and hopefully getting three points.”
Welcome to Huish Park, Mitch!
