Yeovil Town can confirm that Ben Barclay’s loan deal from Stockport County has been extended for a further month.

The central defender has started every game of his initial loan spell, keeping three clean sheets in the process.

Following Tuesday’s draw with Maidenhead, Sarll confirmed his intention for Barclay to stay at Huish Park, “Ben wants to stay, he’s been fantastic for us, we’ve conceded just three goals in his six games.

“He’s a very good player, and when we first got him, it was nice to sign a lad who knew his job and we weren’t starting from scratch.

“He’s part of strong core, with the goalkeeper, the back four and Josh (Staunton), and he’s made a huge impression on us.”
