The 27-year-old’s last-minute volley secured a 2-2 draw for the Glovers having twice come from behind.
Matt Taylor put the Robins ahead in both halves, only for Lewis Wing and Fisher to peg back the Wiltshire outfit.
With two wins and two draws from their last four outings on the road, the in-form striker hailed the overall team performance.
“As much as we had a slow start, Swindon had a very strong start and they made it very difficult for us in the first half but sometimes you’ve got to ride your luck,” he told iFollow Glovers.
“I think we showed great character as a team and came out fighting in the second half. We could’ve dropped our heads at 2-1 down but we kept going until the end and got a deserved point for the effort we put into it.
“At the end of the day, that second 45 minutes was a real shift from the whole team so it was great to get the goal, and great to get a relatively nice goal but the boys put in a shift.”
Having joined in January, Fisher has five goals in 13 appearances since heading south from Motherwell.
Starting the last five matches, the former Oxford and Mansfield striker is pleased with his current form.
“It’s nice when you get a few games in a row, it helps because you start picking up positions and it becomes natural, so thanks to the gaffer for the opportunity but it’s great to contribute to a great team and a really good club.
“A lot of my game is running and I feel like I can do that now for 90 minutes. If that helps the team then great and if I can notch a few goals along the way then brilliant.”
