18th January 2019

Darren Way’s side earned a vital three points at the weekend defeating Mansfield Town 1-0 to end a run of ten games without a win in Sky Bet League Two, whereas County are winless in six and bottom of the table.

Looking to put a dent in the Magpies survival hopes, a win for the green and whites will lift them nine points clear of the bottom and potentially six points clear of the drop all together.

After bringing in Alex Dobre and Josh Grant on Friday last week to become the first January arrivals, the Glovers were involved in transfer business again in the build-up to Saturday’s encounter.

Jordan Green left to join Barnsley for an undisclosed fee to become the sixth departure, whilst Matt Worthington signed a two-and-a-half-year deal from AFC Bournemouth to join the club on a second spell.

Other than that shake up to the squad no fresh injuries were picked up at the weekend, with Omar Sowunmi (ankle), James Bailey (knee) and Alex Pattison (back) still unavailable, with Korrey Henry (groin) available for selection.

Head-to-head
Town boast the better record out of the two sides and will look to keep that up on Saturday.

Having won on eight occasions and drawn four the Glovers have lost six, with only one of those defeats coming at Huish Park.

Earlier in the season Town won 4-0 with Alex Fisher netting a hat-trick and Yoann Arquin completing the rout.

Officials
Stephen Martin will be the man in the middle on Saturday.

Overseeing his first League Two match of the season, Martin has so far refereed 18 matches this campaign, awarding 41 yellow cards and one red card.

His one and only game officiating Town was last season’s 2-0 away defeat to Accrington Stanley.

On the weekend he will be joined by Darren Blunden and Dean Treleaven with John Flynn as fourth official.
