The Glovers last featured in league action three weeks ago due to the international break and Emirates FA Cup First Round.
Accruing two games in hand over most of the division, Town’s experienced defender is looking to enjoy a run of good form which can start in Cheshire.
“We’re not in a bad position,” he told iFollow Glovers. ” We’ve got two games in hand and if we win the two games it takes us up to 10th, so if we can do that we’ll be in a very good position.
“Every game is big but this next one is massive for us. We have to go and build another little charge and more momentum like we did at the start of season.
“We’ll set ourselves little goals like how many games can we go unbeaten. That’s the key now, to go on a little run and see where it takes us.”
Town’s trip to Moss Rose will be the first meeting between the two sides since 2005, with the Silkmen returning to the EFL this season.
Despite their lowly league position at the root of the table, Warren believes the Glovers can’t take anything for granted.
“I don’t think it matters where anyone is in the table. You’ll find the bottom teams are scrapping for their lives more than teams sat mid-table who might be in the comfort zone.
“It’s all about going there Saturday and showing them where we’re at as a team and as a squad. We’re looking upwards in terms of building momentum and challenging teams at the top of the table.
“The top is where we want to be as a club and where players want to be but in order to be successful, we have to beat teams like Macclesfield and the teams below us.”
