The Glovers host the Valiants looking to move five games unbeaten at home in Sky Bet League Two, having picked up eight points already.
The two victories and two draws mean it’s a better start than the last time the Green and Whites were unbeaten in their first four home matches, having drawn all four during the 2008/09 campaign.
Looking to continue their excellent form in front of the home faithful, Way has put away woes to one side.
Speaking to iFollow Glovers, the Town boss said: “We’re back into our home form and I think it’s important we draw attention to that straight away when working on the training ground.
The group have been and very confident and we’ve made sure we’ve addressed the problems.
“Having said that, we’re in some home form where it’s our best home start for 10 seasons, so we have to focus on that and be very, very positive.”
The Glovers will be up against a managerless Port Vale outfit after Michael Brown’s departure last weekend, with Way anticipating a reaction from their players.
“They’ve got a new temporary manager so there will be a little bit of a reaction and he’ll probably implement one or two new ideas.
“They’ll be trying to impress the new man and they’ll probably have that reaction for one or two games.
“I’ve told my players that it’s how this group responds to League Two football, as it’s about getting results on a regular and consistent basis.”
