The Glovers head to Cheshire having won back-to-back league games, rounded off with a Checkatrade Trophy quarter-final win in midweek.
Looking to win three straight Sky Bet League Two matches for the first time since October 2016, Way sees no reason for the momentum to stop despite Town’s patchy away record.
“When you win football matches it seems to make life easier,” he told iFollow Glovers. “With the run of results we’ve had, certainly the Fleetwood game, the players deserve huge credit.
“We’ve improved our away performances as far as the 90 minutes are concerned and have talked about being in chaos in the last 10 minutes and have kept two clean sheets which is very good as far as confidence is concerned.
“Fleetwood scored two. One was a set-play and the other a mistake, but overall I don’t think they opened us up and wouldn’t have scored without the mistake.
Winning the last three encounters with the Railwaymen, the Glovers are looking to record the double over Alexandra for the second successive season.
Despite the form book being in Town’s favour, Way is anticipating a tough fixture.
He said: “We’ve had some good games (at Gresty Road), I remember Matty Dolan taking that free-kick last time in what was a fantastic game.
“We came out on top but every game is very, very difficult now and I always say, when you get to this stage of the season it’s about our willpower against their willpower.”
