The Glovers are enjoying their best run of form for 15 months, having picked up 10 points from a possible 12 without conceding a goal.
Heading to Hertfordshire this weekend, Town are looking to further increase the eleven point gap between themselves and the bottom two as attention turns to the top half of the table.
Looking to emulate October’s 3-0 win over Stevenage in the reverse fixture, Way is looking for Town’s momentum to continue.
“The players have worked extremely hard and there’s a good mood in the camp at the moment,” he told YTFC.net.
“When you’re playing teams near the bottom they have a little more passion, a little more commitment and are playing for their lives like we are, so they can cause a problem.
“It will be a good game, they always are against Stevenage certainly the one we had at home. All the players are looking forward to it.
“We’re the in-form team at the moment when you look at our results, but we have got to keep focusing on what we’ve been doing.”
Town’s boss had the luxury of being able to make five changes for the midweek win over Barnet with 20 players available to choose from.
With competition for places high, Way only sees it as a good thing.
“Last season I had to run with players that I had and the eleven almost picked itself, but this year I can be a little more selective.
“What it does do is Increase the chance of a better performance because players know need to play well to keep their spot in the team.”
