Unbeaten in their last three, the Glovers return to Huish Park for the first time in a month to take on Nathan Jones’ side.
Having suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the Hatters on the opening day of the season, Way is dismissive of any sense of seeking revenge this weekend.
“It’s just another game,” he told iFollow Glovers. “We’ll be making sure that we put in a good performance and I have to draw confidence from the way the players have stuck together at the back end of the season.
“There’s always pressure on games now with teams looking for promotion or to stay in the league but the players have handled that pressure and enjoyed it at the same time.
“With the run of results we’ve had, the last thing I would say to the players is ‘we’ve lost the last two games at home and need to win the next one’, there’s no thoughtfulness in that so the players know what they need to do and they’ll be looking to put on a good performance.”
Sitting comfortably mid-table in the form guide, Town are looking to pull further away from the bottom two this weekend in a bid to climb the rankings.
Buoyed by the 6-2 thrashing of Coventry last time out, Way is keen to finish the season strongly and setup the club in a strong position for 2018/19.
He said: “With the experience in the quad and in the technical area these players are growing in confidence.
“We’ve got experience and now know how to handle different situations – unfortunately, that takes time and patience but what we’ve got to do now is keep that so we don’t have the same problem at the start of next season.”
