A statement released earlier this week denied rumours on social media regarding a proposed takeover, with chairman John Fry reiterating his stance on any potential sale of the club.
With the Glovers heading to Mansfield Town in Sky Bet League Two this weekend, Way told iFollow Glovers the speculation has had no impact on his job.
“If anyone comes along with loads of money, you’re going to sell it to the right person – in football, that doesn’t change,” he said.
“The conversations I’ve had with the chairman and the owner have been good and I don’t let that (rumours) affect me.
“There’s always going be a topic of conversation whatever football club you’re at. All you can do as a manager is be focused and when things are not going too well, show leadership skills and come up with a plan to make sure the players are enjoying working in the environment they’re working in.”
Steve Evans’ side, who sit outside the play-offs on goal difference, are looking get back to winning ways after two straight defeats in all competitions.
Having won one and lost one at Field Mill as manager of Town, Way is anticipating a stern test in Nottinghamshire.
“They’ve got pace and power up front,” he said. “They play 4-4-2 and have played a diamond. I watched them against Chesterfield and looking at the video it looked to nearly be a full house.
“The crowds they’ve been getting have been quite good and they know how to generate some noise there so we’ve got to make sure that we stay focused and know what the job we’re there to do is because of the importance of it.”
