Town picked up their first win of the season in style by beating Notts County 4-0 at Meadow Lane on Friday evening.
An Alex Fisher hat-trick and second in as many league games from Yoann Arquin was enough for the green and whites to return to Somerset with all three points.
On the back of three good performances prior to Friday’s win that didn’t perhaps yield the deserved outcome for the Glovers, Way believes the supporters are still feeling positive.
“I can feel the supporters are falling back in love with their team again,” he told YTFC.net.
“It’s actually really powerful stuff when you’ve got supporters and players showing emotion or passion out there.
“We’re making baby steps as far as progression is concerned but it looks good and your eyes don’t lie. Any supporter would’ve seen what has happened in a short space of time with this new group.
“We look strong, we look athletic, we look good in and out of possession and we’ve got threats in all areas of the pitch.”
Town’s next match is a Tuesday night (7:45pm) meeting at Huish Park against Oldham Athletic with tickets remaining on sale.
