The Glovers will look to add numbers to the ranks after seeing five players depart since the January transfer window opened.
Loanees Enes Mahmutovic, Omari Patrick and Olufela Olomola returned to their parent clubs whilst Wes McDonald and Shaun Donnellan departed to become free agents.
Heading to take on the Stags this weekend, Town’s boss told iFollow Glovers he’s hopeful of taking at least one new recruit to the One Call Stadium.
“Hopefully by Saturday we will have announced a signing or two. Every day changes. At the moment we’ve not lost any (who’ve been linked with transfers), so that’s good for me. We’re making sure, as I’ve said, that the performances and the preparation are the most important.
“There will be reinforcement in the form of new faces and hopefully those new faces can bring happiness.”
With defender Tom James linked with moves away from Huish Park, Way also confirmed the club is yet to receive any formal bid for the Welshman.
“I think he’s a fantastic player. I’m surprised there’s not more clubs that have been interested. Teams have shown interest, but as late we haven’t had a bid, as we speak. That can change at any time.”
