Following Yeovil Town’s draw with Chorley, Darren Sarll spoke about building a fear factor at Huish Park.
It took the Glovers 88 minutes to salvage a point against the league’s bottom side, and Sarll was left wanting a lot more from his side.
Speaking to YTTV, the Gaffer said;
“I’m not frustrated. I think about football quite simply, I like to keep the ball, but if there is no teeth at the end of the sequence it’s pointless. We might as well keep our shape and be really rigid and force the game.
“I was furious at half-time with the way waste at the end of the passage, I was furious with the lack of intent to cross when we got into wide positions, and I was furious with the lack of team ethic to win the ball back quicker.
“Second half, we put them under quite a lot of pressure, but with that last ten minutes, we need to make it like that from the start. People need to come here (Huish Park) and be petrified at what is thrown at them.”
The Gaffer was also honest when it came to the wider context of the game, stating his side have a tough week of training ahead;
“On another day, if we are in better form, we can win this game by five or six, especially with the chances we had in the second half.
“Some of the play, and the form that some of the players are showing at the minute is very concerning.
“This is where you see the true quality in a person’s character, and if they’re men, they will roll their sleeves up and get through it to regain that form.
“We have a lot of work to do next week, I’ll make no bones about it.”
