West Bromwich Albion’s Tahvon Campbell has spoken about his loan spell at Huish Park and how it has helped him improve as a player.
The youngster hopes to secure a place in the Albion senior squad next term and thinks the spell at Yeovil has helped his career.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Campbell said: “My loan spell with Yeovil was a fantastic experience for me and I really enjoyed it.”
“When I first arrived the club wasn’t in a good place and they were towards the bottom of the table.
“I feel happy and proud to have played a part in helping Yeovil secure safety.
“Senior football is so much different to Under-21 and academy football.
“It’s important that young players like myself experience it because you have to learn how to deal with the physical aspect of the game, as well as the need to win on a Saturday.
“I feel as though I have learnt a lot from my loans at both Kidderminster and Yeovil and I am confident that if I had the chance to go out on loan again, I would be able to make a big impact and score some goals.
“I’m going to work really hard now over the summer so that I am fit and sharp for the start of pre-season.
“Hopefully I will get the opportunity to go away again on tour with the first-team.
“I want to try and use my experience from being out on loan to stick around the first-team this season.
“Like every other young player at this club, my aim is to play in the Premier League for Albion.”
