The Southampton loanee was forced off due to a leg injury in the Glovers’ win at Exeter City in the Checkatrade Trophy, and suffered another knock on Saturday.
He was left out of the squad for the visit of Morecambe, but boss Darren Way is hopeful his young striker will be available for the trip to Blundell Park.
“You could see that he took a heavy knock against Cheltenham,” he said.
“Like Ryan Hedges and Otis Khan last year, he’s going to be a target because of the quality he’s got.
“He’s been hit on two occasions now. The one at Exeter was close to being a broken leg, and then we had the one on Saturday.
“We’ve got to see the extent of the injury. We’re still waiting to have his medical assessment from a surgeon, as far as what the swelling is.
“But hopefully fingers crossed it’s a little bit of swelling and it will go down and he’ll be back for Saturday.”
