Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Callum Harriott on a short-term deal with an option to an additional year.
The tricky wide-man arrives with a wealth of experience in the Football League ready to bolster Mark Cooper’s squad.
Starting his career with Charlton Athletic, he rose through the academy to the first team, where he scored a total of 11 goals in the Championship.
After a short, but successful loan spell with Colchester United to get some more minutes, he was snapped up by Reading to continue plying his trade in the second tier. He made a total of 30 appearances for the Royals, finding the back of the net four times.
He later returned to Colchester on a permanent basis, where he enjoyed the most prolific season of his career, with nine goals in League Two during the 2020/21 campaign.
This season, Harriott spent a short spell with League Two side Gillingham, where he made four appearances, including an appearance in an FA Cup Third Round clash against Premier League side Leicester City.
Speaking after his signature was confirmed, Harriott said; “It feels good to be here. I’m looking forward to getting started and expressing myself.
“The plans going forward were eye-catching, I already know Yeovil is a big club, so the aim is to get back up.”
Welcome to Somerset, Callum.
