Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Will Dawes from Stratford Town on a two-year deal.
The Glovers have fought off competition from other professional clubs to sign the winger, who grew up in Somerset.
Following in the footsteps of Albi Skendi, who joined Yeovil from Stratford Town, Dawes has spent time playing for the Bards over the last two years, gaining vital experience in the men’s game, having departed Cheltenham Town following his scholarship.
Despite being just 21-years-old, the wideman has been a key figure for Stratford, scoring the goal which sent them to the FA Cup first round for the first time in the club’s history.
Not taking his foot off the gas following the cup run, he continued to put in strong performances, earning man of the match in his final outing against Bromsgrove Sporting last weekend.
Commenting on the new arrival, manager Chris Hargreaves said; “Will is a young player with a real drive to be successful.
“He’s a local lad who grew up in Somerset, so he knows exactly what the club is about.
“Having spent time playing men’s football, he arrives battle hardened at a young age, ready to take the next step into men’s football.”
Welcome to Huish Park, Will.
