Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the loan signing of Miguel Freckleton from Sheffield United until the end of the season.
A towering defender, Freckleton bolsters the Glovers’ defence ahead of a busy closing stage to the National League season.
Despite being just 19-years-old, the defender arrives with National League experience under his belt. He enjoyed a successful spell with Wealdstone earlier this season, keeping a clean sheet at Huish Park against Yeovil in January. He lost just twice in his 14 appearances for the Stones and scored once against York City before being recalled in February.
Hailing from Bristol, he spent his early years in the Bristol Rovers academy, a brief spell with Mangotsfield followed before he signed for Sheffield United to link-up with their youth side. He has been with the Blades since 2021 and is highly regarded amongst the coaching staff at Bramall Lane.
Commenting on his loan switch, Freckleton said; “It feels good, I’m glad to get it done and I’m ready to get going.
“Having played against Yeovil when I was younger and being from not too far down the road, it’s nice to be around a familiar area.”
Welcome to Huish Park, Miguel.
