Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Jake Scrimshaw from AFC Bournemouth.
Signing a two-year deal, the forward arrives after spending seven years at Dean Court, after joining the Cherries as a 15-year-old.
Now 21-years-old, his CV boasts EFL experience alongside prolific goalscoring seasons in non-league & at youth level.
During the 2018/19 season, Scrimshaw scored no fewer than 48 goals. This included 17 with Southern League South outfit Poole Town in the second half of the season. This prolific season meant the forward was named Bournemouth under-18’s player of the year.
Following this, the Isle of Wight born attacker climbed the pyramid with his loan spells, playing for Eastleigh in the National League, alongside, Walsall, Newport County & Scunthorpe in League Two.
Commenting after the transfer was confirmed, Chris Hargreaves said; “I’m really pleased to welcome Jake to the club. He’s a versatile forward who can offer us flexibility in the way we play and utilise him.
“Jake is the sort of player who will work his socks off for the team. He’s desperate to be a success here at Yeovil Town.”
Subject to clearances, Scrimshaw will be available for selection in tomorrow’s game against Dagenham, get your tickets HERE.
