We’re delighted to announce the signing of Ciaran McGuckin who joins on loan from Rotherham United until January.
The Yorkshire born striker, a product of Rotherham United’s youth academy, joined the club in 2014. He made his senior debut on 26th October 2021 in a 5–0 EFL Trophy victory against Manchester City U21s, where he provided an assist. His promising performance led to him signing his first professional contract with Rotherham on 8th April 2022.
For the 2022/23 season, McGuckin went on loan to National League North side Scarborough Athletic, gaining valuable first-team experience. After returning to Rotherham in May 2023, he extended his contract with the club. By February 2024, he secured a loan move to Dundalk in the League of Ireland Premier Division, continuing his development in senior football.
McGuckin has also represented Northern Ireland as a youth international. He has made 24 appearances across various age groups, starting from the Northern Ireland U16s through to the U21s.
