Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of striker Louis Britton on a contract until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old forward arrives on a free transfer following his departure from Irish First Division champions, Cork City.
Hailing from Bristol, the towering forward starred for a number of non-league clubs from the age of 16 such as Cadbury Heath, Brislington and Mangotsfield, his strong performances in men’s football at such a young age earned himself a move to Bristol City.
During his time with the Robins, he made one first team appearance in the Championship, where he scored City’s only goal of the game against eventual promotion winners Brentford.
Much of his time at Ashton Gate was spent on loan, where he enjoyed spells with Bath City, Stockport County & Torquay, followed by a prolific spell with Waterford where he bagged 10 goals in 17 games.
Off the back of a title win with Cork, the 6-foot-4 striker now returns to the South West of England to lead the line at Huish Park.
Having now received international clearance, Britton is available for selection for tomorrow’s game against Gateshead. Kids can join us at Huish Park for just £1, so get your tickets, HERE.
Speaking to ytfc.net, Britton said; “I’m delighted to have finally got it all done. It’s been in the works for a while now and I can’t wait to get going.
“The lads have made me feel welcome, they’ve been great. I know a couple of them from Bristol City and playing in this league before.
“It’s good to be back home, I’m a local lad so I know how much it means to this Club to push it back up the leagues. I’m delighted to play for a local club.”
Welcome to Huish Park, Louis.
