We are delighted to announce that Brett McGavin has joined Yeovil Town on a two-year deal.
The 24-year-old midfielder arrives at Huish Park after leaving Torquay United at the end of his contract.
Born in Bury St Edmunds, McGavin began his career with Ipswich Town at the age of 9, rising through their academy ranks before signing professional terms with the Tractor Boys. After brief loan spells with Bury Town and Concord Rangers, he made his debut for Ipswich on 12th November 2019 in an EFL Trophy group stage match against Colchester United. On 6 May 2020, Ipswich exercised the option to extend McGavin’s contract, keeping him at the club until 2022.
Following the end of the 2021/22 season, McGavin left Ipswich upon the expiry of his contract and headed west to join Torquay United on 4th July 2022. During his time at Plainmoor, McGavin became a fan favourite, scoring 12 goals in 65 appearances and showcasing an impressive array of skills.
