Arriving at Huish Park in 1968 having been signed by Ron Saunders, Myers became an instant favourite having left Brentford and the Football League to join the Glovers.
Going on to make 329 appearances scoring 84 goals, Cliff was part of a Town side which enjoyed great success in both the cup and league.
Never finishing lower than eighth and winning the Southern League Premier Division in 1971, the attacker was also part of the side that finished runners-up twice, lifted the Southern League Challenge Cup, reached two FA Trophy semi-finals and the Third Round of the FA Cup.
A true YTFC legend, Cliff sits in the top 20 Post-War appearance holders for the club and after hanging up his boots, resided in Rhodes, Greece, where he ran the ‘Sunburnt Arms’.
The thoughts of everyone at Yeovil Town Football Club are with Cliff’s family and friends at this sad time.
