The excitement simply refuses to die down at Yeovil Town as the club continues to celebrate its historic ascent into the npower Championship for the first time.
Nearly 20,000 Glovers travelled to Wembley to see Gary Johnson’s green and white army beat Brentford 2-1 with goals by top scorer Paddy Madden and Dan Burn. Jamie McAllister then went up the famous steps with his side to collect the playoff trophy and lift it aloft in front of the delirious Somerset fans.
The rise into the Championship elite makes it three promotions in the past ten years, a meteoric rise worthy of being put into commemorative print and that’s exactly what the club will be doing with a special book. It is hoped that Yeovil Town first team manager Gary Johnson will sign each copy of the book which will be strictly limited to a print run of just five hundred copies.
Written by lifelong fan and freelance writer Martin McConachie, and produced by YTFC official programme designers Hops Design, it will focus on the biggest matches, the top players, the managers and the personalities at the club and will include exclusive interviews with all four of the Glovers’ Football League bosses.
Three further major interviews have been arranged with players that have been integral to the Glovers’ rise up the footballing pyramid and there will also be some exclusive pictures not seen before from the past decade as well as some other top names from the world of football. All this will be backed up with all the facts and figures from the last ten years in the 200-page book.
You can reserve your copy today. Simply email book@ytfc.net now and we will get in touch near the date of publication to arrange payment and/or delivery. Only 500 copies will be produced and more than half of them have already been pre-reserved so don’t delay, make sure you have a special piece of the YTFC history.
