Yeovil Town’s Under-18’s fell to a heavy 8-3 defeat as they exited the FA Youth Cup at the hands of Eastleigh FC.
After a comprehensive 7-0 victory in the last round against Bovey Tracey, the young Glovers went into the fixture full of confidence.
However, the youngsters were unable to complete the feat, as Eastleigh got off to a superb start, building a 4-0 lead within half an hour.
With minutes to go until the break and the score a comfortable 6-0 to Eastleigh, Yeovil skipper Jake Graziano grabbed a goal for the youngsters.
The second half saw Yeovil grab another two goals through Graziano again and Alex Stevens, but ultimately Eastleigh scored twice themselves, meaning it was an abrupt end to the Youth Cup run.
It’s back to league action for Matt Percival’s side this weekend, as they face BRS Coaching at Alvington. The youngster have lost just once in the league this year and fans are welcome to come down and support. Kick-off is at 10:30am.
