Town made the long journey to Derby and returned to Huish Park empty handed after the hosts came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 with the final goal coming after the 93rd minute.

The Glovers went into the game making one change with Kieffer Moore replacing James Hayter to partner Ishmael Miller up front.

The first twenty minutes belonged to the hosts with Bamford and Martin going close for the Rams.

In the 21st minute the home side created their best chance of the first period when Dawkins jinked his way into the Yeovil area to toe poke the ball at goal. Luckily for the Glovers the ball bounced back off the foot of the post and into the arms of birthday boy Marek Stech.

Just one minute later the Glovers created their first chance when Ishmael Miller picked the ball up on the edge of area, only for his left footed strike to go narrowly wide of the upright.

The Glovers took the lead after 25 minutes when Everton loanee Lundstram picked the ball up midway into the Derby half and ran at the defence. He cut back onto his right foot and unleashed a shot from 25 yards, which fizzed past the diving Grant to nestle into the bottom corner.

With the home side crying for a free kick just outside the Yeovil area and the referee waving away their pleas the Glovers mounted a counter attack.

The ball found its way to Miller who out paced and out muscled Richard Keogh to get into the penalty area. The Nottingham Forest loanee made no mistake in drilling past Grant from a really tight angle to send the away following into wild celebrations.

Derby made a half time substitute with John Eustace being replaced by Jamie Ward and the substitute seemed to lift the home side. And the Rams pulled a goal back after just five minutes of the second half.

After a goal mouth scramble the ball fell to Dawkins, who crossed into the six yard box onto the diving head of Bamford inside the six yard box.

At the other end Joel Grant turned his way neatly past two defenders only to see the other Grant on the pitch deny him with a fine save at his near post.

Derby had their keeper Grant to thank for keeping the score line at 2-1. A Luke Ayling cross was headed towards his own goal by Wisdom and with the ball looking like it had looped over Grant, the shot stopper somehow managed to tip the ball over the bar.

Goalscorer Bamford was the next Derby player to go close for the Rams. The on loan Chelsea man controlled the ball on the corner of the area, steadied himself and curled the ball around Stech, but luckily for the Glovers the ball came off the foot of the post and away to safety.

With the home side boosted by their early goal and with the crowd behind them should have equalised after 65 minutes. Left back Forsyth found himself one-on-one with Stech but somehow managed to put his effort over the bar.

The Glovers held firm until the 87th minute when Bryson drew the scores level with a shot from the edge of the Town area.

With four minutes signaled by the fourth official Town conceded a late free kick on the edge of the area. The kick was swung in and Martin got his head to flick the ball past Stech to complete the comeback.
