Reuban Reid is looking to bring a positive mindset to Yeovil Town in his second stint at Huish Park.
Re-joining the club on Tuesday, Reid is hoping that his experience can help the Glovers maintain their current form in the National League, with the side stretching their run to three consecutive victories with a win against Weymouth in midweek.
Speaking to ytfc.net, yesterday afternoon, he said: “It’s been a bit of a surreal week to be honest. Signing a couple of hours before kick-off on Tuesday, then being told that I was in the starting line-up was a shock at the time but overall a good experience.
“We obviously had a great win in midweek which was good, and it will give us a lot of confidence going forward, but for myself personally I’ve had another good session today, and a good week so I’m feeling very good so far.”
He continued: “My ambitions are simple to win as many games as possible and see where it takes us. We all know where we are in the league table, so we need to keeping working hard and add to this run that we have been going on. That way hopefully we can start pushing up the table and who knows what can happen come the end of it.
“As a new signing, especially after the first week I can’t say exactly what we need and don’t need to do but as a team we’ve just got to make sure that we prepare ourselves in the best possible way for each game, to try and get three points.
“Going on a run like we have reunites that energy amongst the club and generates positivity, and it’s surprising where that can take you. My message to the fans is keep supporting the club through social media and spread as much positivity as possible. That way Yeovil Town will be back doing what Yeovil Town does best.”
