It’s a quick turnaround for Yeovil Town as they travel to Taunton on Tuesday night (7:45pm) for an FA Cup replay.
After a goalless draw at Huish Park, the two sides will need to be separated a Wordsworth Drive, with extra time and penalties on the horizon should the result stay level.
There’s a lot at stake on Tuesday night, with the winner earning a lucrative space in the Emirates FA Cup First Round.
Chris Hargreaves’ thoughts
Chris Hargreaves spoke following the goalless draw at Huish Park.
Team news
The Glovers will be boosted by the return of Gime Touré who returns from suspension for this fixture. Hargreaves will also be hopeful to have Lawson D’Ath and Jamie Reckord available for the game.
Despite picking up five yellow cards, Matt Worthington will be available for the FA Cup clash, but will bet unavailable on Saturday against Oldham Athletic.
Callum Rowe made an early return to the match squad on Saturday after an injury lay-off left him out for a month.
When asked about any new additions before the game, Hargreaves felt that game may come too soon to get any signings over the line.
Potential opponents
The FA Cup draw will take place on Monday evening at 7pm on BBC Two. Make sure you tune in to find out who the winner of our tie will face.
A foot in the opposition camp
After a disappointing defeat to Ebbsfleet last time out in the National League South, the Peacocks would have been buoyed by their hard-fought draw at Huish Park.
The star man for Taunton is Ross Stern, but he was substituted in the second half on Saturday afternoon after looking bright in the first half. It didn’t look like an injury for the former Bath City man at the time so expect him to line-up on Tuesday night.
Have we met before?
History is with Yeovil Town in the fixture, especially looking back at the last competitive meeting between the two sides. In 1996, Graham Roberts’ Yeovil side were held to a goalless draw at Huish Park, but were able to beat Taunton 5-3 in the replay at Wordsworth Drive.
