Thankfully, Blackpool are in town on Tuesday night and the Glovers will be in buoyant mood.

In fact, both sides got themselves three valuable points at the weekend, the Tangerines overcame Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 to not only send the Owls below the Glovers in the table, but also confirm the departure of Dave Jones.

Dan Gosling and Ricardo Fuller were on the score sheet as the Seasiders cemented their place in the top six.

Prior to the weekend, however, Blackpool had struggled for a bit of form, a 1-1 draw against Birmingham and a defeat at home to Ipswich had given Paul Ince some cause for concern.

Ince himself, was back in the dugout on Saturday following a 5-game touchline ban.

We are still only a few days outside of the loan transfer window closing and while Yeovil were bringing in three loanees, Blackpool were relatively quiet.

The loaned out striker Nathan Tyson to local rivals Fleetwood, but failed to bring in anyone in the final few days but have brought in Man Utd youngster, Tyler Blackett in the last month.

The Glovers do have a couple of injury worries, skipper Jamie McCallister missed the win at the weekend with a shoulder problem and this game will be too soon for a probable return.

Of course, Marek Stech is still waiting on his comeback from a broken hand; the Czech keeper has been stepping up training, but is still unable to take his place in the match day squad. Chris Dunn will keep his place between the sticks following two good performances.

Blackpool have a reasonable bill of health, with Barry Ferguson and Craig Cathcart edging back to fitness and a place in the squad.

Of course, their star man is the Gaffer’s son, Tom Ince, who has already notched 6 times so far this season.

Yeovil and Blackpool have clashed once or twice before, most famously in the 2007 League One play off final, a game which Blackpool won 2-0, Robbie Williams (not that one) and Keigan Parker scoring at Wembley.

The league matches, both during the 2006/07 season and prior results haven’t gone Yeovil’s way.

Kevin Amankwaah and Marcus Stewart getting goals in a 1-1 draw in ’05 and ’06 respectfully is about all the Somerset side have to shout about.

However, in the FA Cup, during the 2000/01 season, Nick Crittenden scored the only goal to knock out the Seasiders at the second round.
