Yeovil Town’s volunteer press officer Sam Collard has won the National League’s volunteer of the month award for November.
Taking the role in September 2019, Sam has balanced his role with Yeovil Town alongside his University studies at UCFB Wembley.
Keeping him very busy, Sam produces all the content across the club’s social media, writes content for the website, and arranges press conferences plus much more!
Sam has been one of the lucky few to have been able to attend Yeovil Town’s fixtures this season, reporting on the fixtures for those who are unable to attend.
Commercial manager Mark Robinson, who nominated Sam for the award said;
“Sam has been instrumental in keeping fans up to date in very challenging circumstances, he has been instrumental in getting the live streaming of games up and running and constantly working on ways to enhance the viewer’s experience.
“Sam works hard on engaging and promoting ways we, as a club, can support the community during these difficult times, particularly with his focus on the ‘Football against child poverty’ campaign and providing free meals to our young supporters and children of Yeovil Town.
“Sam thoroughly deserves this recognition and we are exceptionally proud that he provides so much support to Yeovil Town Football Club, especially whilst continuing to study for his final year at university. Thank-you Sam”
