In the last few years since spending time at Yeovil Town Football Club Tom Lawrence, Shane Duffy, Marek Stech, Joel Grant, Steven Caulker, Andros Townsend and many others have gone on to gain International call-ups for their countries.
With the World Cup almost upon us and the many consequential friendly warm up games, Tom Lawrence, Marek Stech and Joel Grant have all been involved with Lawrence set to get his first cap for Wales against his new club manager Louis Van Gaal’s Dutch side tonight.
Former Yeovil keeper Marek Stech played for the Czech Republic against Austria and Joel Grant made his International debut for Jamaica against Serbia and quickly followed up that by retaining his place against Switzerland.
In previous seasons both Steven Caulker and Andros Townsend have both been capped by England with both players considered unlucky not to be on their way to Brazil this week.
Shane Duffy has been selected for five Republic of Ireland squads and is hoping to make his International debut against Costa Rica this week.
Other players that have received International recognition following their time with Yeovil Town include:
