Dan Butler’s own goal was the difference between the two sides last season and the weekend’s Sky Bet League Two encounter comes with both sides looking to end winless runs.
Searching for a first league win in three, Way feels his players know what it’s going to take to win.
Speaking to iFollow Glovers he said: “With our lads we’re fit, very athletic and get up and down the pitch but the thing that costs us every now and again is our concentration levels and game management. You gain that from experience.
“It’s not going to be an easy game, like any other game, but we’ve had some very close games against Newport.
“We have a good home record but will have to deal with the direct ball and we’ve got to be able to deal with set-plays. We’ve made it known to the players the (Ben) Tozer long-throw and the (Matty) Dolan inswinging corner.
“From the incident that happened on Tuesday, a lot of time and effort has gone into the players knowing the fine line between winning and losing.”
The Green & Whites had won their last three home matches in a row before the visit of Carlisle a fortnight ago, with the Town boss now targeting a return to winning ways.
“We have to make sure we play our game and play attacking football,” he said. “We have to take them down the other end of the pitch and put them under immense pressure.
The team that puts a back four or five under pressure usually wins.”
