The Bristol-born attacking midfielder, a product of Bristol City and Chelsea’s youth academies, began his career with the Robins before moving to Chelsea in 2013. Maddox made his professional debut on 4th August 2018 while on loan at Cheltenham Town, starting in their EFL League Two opener against Crawley Town. His promising displays saw him feature regularly during the 2018/19 campaign.

The following season, Maddox joined Tranmere Rovers on loan, and although his time there was brief, he later moved to Southampton in February 2020, signing for their Under-23 squad. Maddox gained further experience abroad, moving to Portuguese side Vitória de Guimarães in August 2020. After a year in the top flight of Portuguese football, he returned to England with Burton Albion on loan for the 2021/22 season.

In 2022, he signed for Walsall, where he continued to demonstrate his creativity and versatility in midfield before joining Forest Green Rovers for the 2023/24 season. Over the course of his career, Maddox has made over 100 senior appearances and brings a wealth of experience to Huish Park.
