Born in Stockton-on-Tees, Cousin-Dawson began his career with the Bradford City youth team. He was loaned to Brighouse Town in November 2019 but was recalled in January 2020 for Bradford City's FA Youth Cup match against Chelsea. He turned professional in July 2020 with a one-year contract.
He made his senior debut on 8 September 2020 in the EFL Trophy and was praised by manager Stuart McCall in November 2020. In January 2021, he signed a new contract with Bradford City until the summer of 2024. Despite a strong start, he was rested in February 2021 to manage the demands of first-team football. By April, he was noted for gaining valuable experience.
At the start of the 2021–22 season, Cousin-Dawson featured in Bradford City's EFL Cup match against Nottingham Forest. He remarked that his skills improved due to the high standards set by new manager Derek Adams.
In July 2022, he was loaned to Spennymoor Town and was recalled in January 2023 for a further loan to Blyth Spartans, initially for one month and then extended until the end of the season. He rejoined Blyth Spartans on loan for the 2023–24 season.
Released by Bradford City at the end of the 2023–24 season, Cousin-Dawson signed a two-year contract with Yeovil Town on 12 June 2024.
