Despite some demon fielding Yeovil Town came unstuck in their friendly cricket match at North Perrott last night.
Perrott batted first but England (5) and Josh Marshall-James (8) soon feel victim to some smart bowling from Nathan Ralph who had the two openers caught by Curtis Haynes-Brown and Terry Skiverton.
Worse was to follow for Perrott when Sam Foley had Jason Bond caught and bowled for only 3.
Dom Barnes and Peter Ireland then set about putting some respectability to the Perrott score and took the score to 86 before Barnes was caught by Byron Webster for 26.
Pete Ireland pressed on to 42 with new partner Ben Dickinson before he went, caught Foley bowled Skiverton.
Jonny Hopper came and went having holed out to Curtis Haynes-Brown off the bowling of Keanu Marsh-Brown, to what he called the only decent ball he bowled!!
Dickinson and Baggs took the score to 162 from the twenty overs, leaving the Yeovil boys a pretty demanding total to reach.
The Yeovil innings couldn’t have started any worse. Foley and Hayter were both out for ducks off the bowling of Rowsell.
Ed Upson offered some resistance with a lively 20 including 3 fours and a six but Luke Ayling was unable to stay as he too saw his woodwork sent cart wheeling behind him for another duck.
Terry Skiverton managed one brave four before he was caught in the deep by Will Ireland.
Byron Webster went for three, caught by Jonny Hopper and then Jonny boy got his revenge on Keanu March-Brown when he caught the Yeovil newcomer off his own bowling for a duck.
By now Yeovil were in a desperate state with only Lewis Young (19 NO) and Sam Foley, batting in disguise for Gary Johnson, with another 23 offering late resistance.
But when Curtis Haynes-Brown was bowled for four it was all over with Yeovil reaching a total of 91.
Talk of a football match was circulating after the match as the Yeovil town players plan their revenge!!
