Yeovil Town Football Club have reluctantly agreed to mutually terminating the contract of Daniel Ojo.
We thank Daniel for his contribution over the last two and a half years, especially when as a scholar, he was called upon to play during our relegation battle at the end of last season.
Speaking on the departure, manager Darren Sarll added;
“Daniel had expressed a wish to be closer to home, he was missing London and I felt that it was counterproductive to have a young man somewhere where he didn’t want to be. He had expressed this wish on more than one occasion to Terry and I.
“I always try to put myself in the shoes of if it was my son. Especially in the case of a young lad who has the world at his feet I certainly didn’t want to see him unhappy or demotivated being in a place where his heart really wasn’t at.
“He has been a credit to himself and his family in my time here and we wish nothing but happiness and success for Daniel.
“It has also coincided with the excellent performances of Carl Dickinson and his winning mentality that has blocked Daniel’s immediate path into the first team.”
