The 35-year-old arrived earlier in the summer to take on a dual role but has completed a move to take up an under-23s coaching position at Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion.
Commenting on his departure, manager Darren Sarll said: “Andrew made us aware of some interest in the Brighton role a few weeks ago and approached me one-to-one. Because of the history, his location and future ambitions, he expressed a determined interest in taking on the role.
“Unfortunately, this was a situation I had to regretfully accept and we wish Andrew well in his next role. This has been treated like any transfer and we have been in discussion with Brighton to ensure that we have come to an agreement around compensation in many forms, for a player as influential as Andrew would’ve been.”
All at Huish Park wish Andrew well in the future.
