The Glovers attacker was on target with a sweet strike in the loss at Morecambe – Town’s last game of 2017.
Drifting in from his left midfield position, Khan received possession in a pocket of space, brushed off a couple of defenders on a mazy run before playing a neat one-two with Jake Gray.
He rolled the ball out of his feet and curled a strike emphatically beyond Barry Roche’s reach into the far top corner.
After winning the award, Khan said: “It feels incredible, obviously it’s a massive award to have and it’s my first one. I’m over the moon about it and couldn’t be happier.
“I just remember coming in off the left, getting the ball back off Jake and seeing the keeper slightly off his line.
“It meant the space was there for me to curl into and I was delighted it found the back of the net.”
