Tom Bradbury’s first goal for the club was enough to earn a second successive home win, lifting the green and whites to ninth in the National League table.
With Lee linking up with the Somerset outfit weeks into the campaign, the midfielder has made a real impact in his short time at Huish Park.
Speaking to YTTV, Lee said: “At home we expect to win every game, we need to go into it thinking this is our house and we’ve got to win.
“We know there will be games that it will be tough to play how we want to. We dug in tonight and defended brilliantly. The boys at the back were brilliant. We wouldn’t have let a goal in if there were two games tonight.
“You’re going to get a lot of goals from set-pieces with the aerial threat we possess. We are expected to score loads. At the start of the season we probably hadn’t scored enough but since I’ve come in, we haven’t stopped winning and making set-pieces count.”
The new-look Glovers squad added two new faces in Liam O’Brien and James Tilley this week, with both players involved against the U’s.
Tuesday’s clash also offered Gabby Rogers his first opportunity to start for Town this season, leaving Lee full of praise for his fresh-faced teammates.
“You need your subs to come on and make an impact and (James) Tilley did brilliantly. It would be very different from what he has played before, but he had a right go.
“Gabby (Rogers) has come in, someone with only a few appearances and looked strong and a clean sheet for the goalkeeper (Liam O’Brien), he’ll be buzzing. We can’t let everyone get too high though, we need to go again and get the result Saturday (vs. Halfiax Town).”
